Filipino-American musician Alexander Garde (b. 1998) is a classically-trained percussionist who specializes in orchestral and contemporary performance. Originally from the suburbs of Boston, he was appointed as a percussionist with “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band in November, 2021 after studying at the New England Conservatory and the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University. Alex hopes to enrich his community by providing world-class performances with the goal of making classical music more accessible and equitable while inspiring the next generation of musicians.
